From September 14 to October 14, 2021, continues a public discussion of the draft Regulation on the activities of children’s rooms in institutions and organizations, initiated by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. KSPU not only joins the discussion of such important documents that implement modern socio-pedagogical trends, but also gladly shares his own experience. From the beginning of 2017 the Room of temporary stay of children “Merry beehive” works on the basis of our University.

The National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine defines one of its points as a harmonious combination of professional and family responsibilities. The modern national trend in KSPU has been successfully implemented in practice for many years.

Our Room of temporary stay of children “Merry Beehive” is the part of the European initiative “Family-friendly University”, and its work has repeatedly received positive feedback from representatives of various agencies, experts of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, university guests etc.

Assistant Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work I.O. Lysokon, the head of the youth center of KSPU #StudHub, said (translated): “Our University can be confidently considered one of the leaders in the field of corporate social responsibility to its students, graduate students and employees. Trends that are only enter the Ukrainian practice have already become an integral part of our university life and have a clearly developed system over the years of its existence. Corporate responsibility of KSPU is not mainstream, but rather a tradition. Not every higher education institutions can boast a Room of temporary stay of children, a Sensory room, a Room for mother and a child, while our University has this developed socially oriented infrastructure on its own basis. Implementing this social practice for five years, KSPU took into account the European and existing domestic experience, harmoniously combined them and opened it’s room “Merry Beehive”. Analyzing the draft Regulation, it should be noted that the University children’s room meets the pre-established requirements and in some respects even exceeds them."
