Cultural diversity plays a key role in any educational environment. It teaches tolerance and fosters global awareness. So, it is essential to teach our students to be positive global citizens.
Our students (academic groups GED-16 and EGD-17) had an opportunity to meet Jordan from Great Britain. The arranged meeting has contributed to their understanding of differences and similarities of other cultures and gains of valuable knowledge.
Our students prepared a project on our country and its traditions to welcome our guest. Then they together had a friendly talk about different cultural aspects and interesting facts of our countries. Jordan and our students had some kind of competition of saying English and Ukrainian tongue twisters as fast as they could. And our students sang songs in Ukrainian, English and German.
This meeting has immensely contributed to global and cultural understanding. Moreover, it was very inspiring.
