One of the convincing evidences of permanent foreign contacts of Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University is the participation of its employees in various international research projects, invitations of faculty to undergo research internships abroad, speeches at international conferences.
The activity of the Department of History, in particular, is characterized by permanent ties of this kind. Professor of the Department, Doctor of Historical Sciences Dmytro Tytarenko at the invitation of Professor of Eastern European History at the Heidelberg University Tanja Penter underwent an internship in Germany.
Dmytro Tytarenko has been focusing on issues related to the history of Ukraine during the Nazi occupation for many years. As a part of the work on this issue, he has repeatedly worked in archival institutions abroad.
This year, while working at Ludwigsburg State Archives, the Land Archives of North-Rhine Westphalia (Duisburg), the research libraries of Heidelberg University and the Fritz Bauer Institute (Frankfurt am Main), the professor of our University researched issues related to Nazi crimes against Soviet prisoners, mentally ill people and the Jewish population; the interaction of Soviet and German justice in the prosecution of Nazi criminals and collaborators.
According to the results of the research, a number of publications, speeches at scientific conferences and colloquia both in Ukraine and abroad are planned.
