The main feature of quality of higher education is the presence of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff in the institution. One of the forms of support and improvement of the appropriate level of professional skills is the participation in various international internships.

     The lecturers of Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University are regular participants of international internships. The geography of academic events, which are attended by representatives of the University is very wide and covers leading European countries, including Finland, Germany, France, Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria and others.

     V.A. Hamanyuk, Vice-Rector for Research, Professor of the Department of German Language and Literature with Methods of Teaching tells (translated): “Our University has a positive practice of international internships. Every year our teachers visit different countries to improve their skills. At present, due to objective circumstances, in particular due to quarantine restrictions, the number of full-time internships has significantly decreased. However, as an alternative, teachers pass them remotely. Although any internship, regardless of its format, involves several weeks, sometimes months of active involvement in the educational process and the implementation of the required scope of the program”.

     The presented infographic shows that the University staff regularly undergoes international internships. Starting in 2020, the exchange of experience with foreign colleagues acquires a new format – the remote format. Due to the pandemic, face-to-face interaction has decreased, but with the spread of online communication, international mobility has become more accessible.
