The Department of Physics and Methods of its Teaching was founded in 1930. Nowadays the academic staff of the Department includes 7 academics (3 Doctors of Sciences, Professors, 2 Candidates of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professors, 2 Candidates of Pedagogic Sciences, Associate Professors). The Department provides the postgraduate program in specialty 104 Physics and Astronomy (01.04.07 Physics of Solid State) and the postgraduate program in specialty 014 Secondary Education (Physics) for PhDs training.
